This Privacy Policy details the types of information we collect through our public website, public countdown page, member portal ("The Jungle"), and related intake and registration systems, as well as how we use, safeguard, and disclose that data under the governing laws of the State of New Jersey and the State of New York.

Depending on your relationship with the organization, we collect several categories of information to administer membership and run sorority operations:
- Public Inquiries & Contacts: Personal details such as your name, email address, phone number, and any details or messages you submit through our contact form.
- Active Sister Registration & Dues Profile: When registering as an active sister, we collect comprehensive information:
- Personal Identifiers: First Name, Last Name, Maiden Name, Birthdate, Mailing Address, Phone Number, Personal and Sorority Email Addresses.
- Initiation & Line History: Semester and Year of Initiation, Chapter of Initiation, District, Line Name, Individual Line Name, and Nickname.
- Academic Records (Undergraduate Members Only): Cumulative and current GPA (Fall and Spring), along with official or unofficial transcript uploads for compliance verification.
- Professional Details: Job Title, Industry, Employer, website, and willingness to serve as a mentor. If opted-in, business names and services are published in our Sister First Business Directory.
- Interests & Preferences: T-Shirt/paraphernalia sizes, interest in executive roles, serving as Alumnae Advisor, or volunteering for committees (Judicial Board, Strategic Planning, Social Justice, and Convention/Banquet Planning).
- Compliance Sign-offs: Mandatory signature attestations confirming adherence to the national Antiracism Clause and the zero-tolerance Anti-Hazing Policy.
- Incident & Compliance Reporting: When submitting an incident report through official JotForm channels, we collect the date, district, chapter, and location of the incident, detailed descriptions, names of sisters involved, supporting document uploads, and (optionally) the reporter's contact details.
- Judicial Board Disclosures: For judicial hearings and volunteer placements, we collect conflict-of-interest disclosure details, legal name, chapter, roles, personal or professional relationships with members under review, and electronic signatures.
- Technical Analytics & Log Files: IP addresses, browser types, referral links, and system logs are automatically collected to maintain security and optimize site performance.
2. How We Use Your Information
We process personal and academic information strictly for legitimate organizational purposes, including:
- Verifying member eligibility, active status, and managing annual dues tiers.
- Reviewing and confirming undergraduate academic compliance (via GPAs and transcripts) in accordance with the national constitution.
- Managing national and district committees, executive appointments, and matching active mentors with collegiate members.
- Processing, reviewing, and investigating incident reports and code of conduct violations through appointed Judicial Board advocates and the National Risk Management Officer.
- Publishing the Sister First Business Directory to support member-owned businesses.
- Securing and maintaining the stability, integrity, and safety of "The Jungle" platform.
3. Information Sharing, Disclosure, & Subpoenas
MSU does not sell, lease, or distribute member or visitor personal information to third-party advertisers or commercial entities. Your information is shared only internally within the National Governing Council, District Boards, and Judicial Committees for administrative and compliance purposes. However, the organization complies fully with lawful subpoenas, court orders, and legal investigations. By using our platforms and registering, you acknowledge and agree that your content, registration profiles, and communications data may be disclosed to law enforcement or legal authorities under lawful circumstances.
4. Data Retention & Security
We implement appropriate physical, technical, and administrative controls to protect against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration of data. Dues forms and academic records are held securely within authenticated database instances. Consistent with the national Judicial Board policy, all files and records of members found responsible for code of conduct violations are retained as official judicial records for five (5) years by the District Historian, or permanently if specified by a judicial sanction.
5. Member Rights & Access
Under organizational policy, members have the right to request access to their personal data stored by the sorority. Members found responsible for violations have the right to request access to the official case files of their judicial proceedings, subject to confidentiality rules.
